Biography

Linda Kyei is a freelance singer, violinist, songwriter and choir director living in Stuttgart.

She is currently on the road with her projects.

Linda Kyei Band *PopularElectronicJazz* and the Linda Kyei Swing Combo. The German artist with Ghanaian roots started music lessons at the age of three. She studies classical violin and started leading gospel choir projects at a young age. She composes her own pieces in which she later also integrates her violin playing.

In 2009, Kyei gained national fame after winning a song contest, leading to her singing the anthem of the European Youth Day before the packed LTU Arena in Düsseldorf.

Since then, the singer has been firmly established on the stage throughout Europe and it has long been impossible to imagine the Stuttgart jazz scene without her.

The musician is active in a variety of projects, both then and now: For her "InnerGoldSessions", Linda Kyei composes in real time to films projected on the wall. These recordings thus become free, experimental music. In the process, she "allows" herself artistic freedom and makes each song unique.

With the Linda Kyei Swing Combo, the artist has a second, no less passionate project and celebrates the golden era of 20s-40s swing music in an old-charming jazz sound, which not only appeals to concert audiences but also to the swing dance scene.

"Music becomes exciting for me when it offers room for development and unfolding".

Under this motto, the singer has been singing and producing her main project, the Linda Kyei Band, together with Zbikbeat aka Andrew Zbik for about ten years. A highlight this year will be the release of the debut album "A Room With A View" which will be released in June 21.

Expect jazzy electronic sounds, lots of experimentation and a warm voice: *PopularElectronicJazz*
